Ian Macready is a founder partner of the design studio VW+BS along with architect Voon Wong and product designer Benson Saw. The studio has now morphed into a bigger studio with 3 new partners from the field of aviation design, customer experience and industrial design. With a background in design and marketing in the furniture business, Ian has had over 25 years of experience working with some leading names including Vitsoe, Soho House Group and Coexistence in London. At VW+BS and now Viewport Studio, they have completed over 300 international projects for clients such as Virgin Atlantic, Delta Air Lines, Walter Knoll, Royal Selangor, Genting Casinos and EasyJet.
The Studio has won many prizes, most recently the Design For Asia Gold Award for Product Design for the Silt Collection of purple clay tableware. The latest project is the new cabin interior for Virgin Atlantic’s Boeing 787 Dreamliner which launched in October 2014 and is currently shortlisted for best new Aviation Cabin design for the International Yacht and Aviation Awards.
